Pubic transport between the airport and the centre of Belfast is easy to use. The Airport Express 600 bus service operates every 20 minutes from the airport terminal to the Europa Bus Centre next to the Europa Hotel, in the heart of the city. The service operates between the hours of 0600 and 2250 and costs £2.20 for a return journey. When you arrive at the Europa Bus Centre, walk through the Great Northern Mall to Great Victoria Street, cross the road and walk to the bus stop. A route 8B Metro bus will take you to SARC, Wellington Park Hotel, and Elms Student Village. A single fare on a Metro bus is £1.30.

A taxi from Belfast City Airport to the area around Queen’s University will cost between £7.00 and £10.00.

The Airport Express 300 bus service operates between the airport and Belfast city centre every 10 minutes, at peak times Monday to Friday, every 20 minutes on a Saturday and at 30 minute intervals on a Sunday. The service operates between 0535 and 2320 and costs £6.00 for a single journey or £9.00 for a return journey to the city centre. The bus’s first stop in Belfast is Laganside Bus Centre: don’t get off here. You should get off the bus at Europa Bus Centre. When you arrive at the Europa Bus Centre, walk through the Great Northern Mall to Great Victoria Street, cross the road and walk to the bus stop. Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport (DUB) is two hours from Belfast by road or rail. There are 36 international flights operating into the airport on a daily basis, linking Dublin directly to many European and International cities.

Bus/Coach services

Translink operates the Goldline Service 200 between Dublin City Centre and Belfast City Centre, which stops at Dublin Airport. This daily service operates every hour on the hour between 0600 and 2100. Service 200 arrives at Stop 8 in Dublin Airport at twenty minutes past the hour (e.g. 0620, 0720, etc), and costs £8.30 (€12.00) for a single journey or £12.40 (€18.00) for a return journey to Belfast city centre. When you arrive at the Europa Bus Centre, walk through the Great Northern Mall to Great Victoria Street, cross the road and walk to the bus stop. A route 8B Metro bus will take you to SARC, Wellington Park Hotel, and Elms Student. A single fare on a Metro bus is £1.30.



Aircoach provides a luxury coach service from Dublin Airport to Belfast city centre seven days a week on an hourly basis from 0700 until 2100. The Aircoach airport stop is located just outside the arrivals hall door and across the pedestrian crossing. Fares vary depending on day of travel. The fare from Dublin Airport to Belfast City Centre will cost between £5.00 (€7.00) and £8.00 (€12.00) for a single journey or between £8.00 (€12.00) and £12.00 (€18.00) for a return journey. The Aircoach stops outside the Jury’s Inn Hotel in Belfast City Centre. From there it is a short walk to Great Victoria Street where you can take a 8B Metro bus or a taxi to the University district.

Rail services

There is no direct rail link from Dublin Airport to Belfast. To travel to Belfast by rail, you should take a taxi and bus service from the Airport to Connolly Railway Station in Dublin. The Enterprise service departs from Connolly Station in central Dublin from 0735 to 2045 Monday-Saturday, 1000-1900 Sunday, with a journey time of about 2 hours 15 minutes to Belfast Central Station. The standard fare is £24 (single) or £35 (return). From Central Station, you can take a Metro bus or a taxi to the University sector.
