Peter Hulen

About

Peter Lucas Hulen composes for acoustic instruments, voice, acoustic and electronic sounds, electronic sounds alone, multimedia, and media for web delivery. He is Assistant Professor of Music at Wabash College near Indianapolis, USA, where he teaches music theory, composition, electronic music, and liberal arts. He has presented papers around the USA and Europe on his approaches to composition, and his works have been performed internationally. Influences include microtonality, Chinese music, Medieval and Renaissance polyphony, Impressionism, and Minimalism. Dr. Hulen also studied Mandarin Chinese in Beijing.
